Description
Summary:August 2, 1931. Kjerulfs [Kjerulf] Fjord. Through to Dickson [Dicksons] Fjord. In background; range of mountains forming (from this point south) the eastern side of Hisinger Glacier [Hisinger Gletscher]. The ice-cap covers the summit of the entire range and glaciers descent the side facing west. Below is Hisinger Glacier [Hisinger Gletscher] coming from S.S.W. and descending N.N.E. From this glacier streams are seen flowing into shallow pool-like lake --from which the stream of Left Valley rises, (see 24-F-13; 24-F-5; 27-1-12) and, flowing down Left Valley, passes through Main Valley and out into Kjerulfs [Kjerulf] Fjord. This photo is taken at what we can well call The Divide, for at this point waters off Hisinger Glacier [Hisinger Gletscher] (on opposite side --S.E.) flow to Dickson [Dicksons] Fjord and those seen in this photo flow to Kjerulfs [Kjerulf] Fjord.
