| Summary: | This annual report present the results of post-mortem examinations of porpoises (Phocoena phocoena) in 2018. In 2018, 50 dead harbour porpoises were examined: 32 males and 18 females, including 16 adults, 31 juveniles and 3 neonates. Most of the harbour porpoises examined died as a result of infectious diseases and grey seal attacks (both 28%), followed by probable bycatch (16%). In dit jaarrapport worden de resultaten gepresenteerd van pathologisch onderzoek aan bruinvissen in 2018. In 2018 zijn 50 dode bruinvissen onderzocht; 32 mannelijke en 18 vrouwelijke, 16 volwassen, 31 juveniel en 3 neonaat. Er werd 1 mannelijke foetus gevonden. De meeste van de onderzochte bruinvissen waren gestorven door infectieziekten en aanvallen van grijze zeehonden (beide 28%), gevolgd door vermoedelijke bijvangst (16%). |
