| Summary: | The article reveals the place and role of the Arctic in modern global politics. Based on the methodology of critical geopolitics, the analysis of the specifics of the interaction of states in the military-political and economic spheres is given. The conclusion is made about the ambiguity and inconsistency of the processes taking place in the region, which is a reflection of the struggle for global leadership, characteristic of the current stage of globalization. В статье раскрывается место и роль Арктики в современной глобальной политике. На основе методологии критической геополитики дается анализ специфики взаимодействия государств в военно-политической и экономической сферах. Делается вывод о неоднозначности и противоречивости процессов, происходящих в регионе, что является отражением борьбы за глобальное лидерство, характерной для нынешнего этапа глобализации.
