Summary:In this article some data are reported according to ichthyological materials which were taken from debris in the cistern of the Kruze basilica (2nd – 6th centuries CE) in the northeastern area of the Chersonese Taurica. A part of the material consists of 150 fragments of skeletal elements of large and medium-size fish specimens, whereas another part is small fish from sauce remains. In total, 13 species from 11 families were identified,9 of them belong to marine species and 4 of them belong to freshwater species. The greatest number of identified fragments belonged to the turbot (62%), and fewer fragments belong to the thornback ray(17%) and sturgeons(9%).
