Description
Summary:The Persian Gulf and Barents Sea have particular significance as they both own huge reserves of oil and specific environmental conditions as well as rich marine living resources.also, increasing the navigation opportunities, mostly due to the economic reasons as well as tourism, (and in Barents Sea the climate condition) poses considerable pressure on marine living resources and its biodiversity in these areas. So that, in case of not implementing any mechanism for monitoring and controlling the pollution, a field of destruction would be provided. Therefore, through this thesis the relevant regional and international regulations regarding the pollution from vessels in Barents Sea and Persian Gulf will be discussed. Besides, it will be examined to what extent they are being implemented and having enforcement power in the areas. Protection of marine ecosystem in these areas is a significant issue which would be discussed in the framework of principles related to navigation and environmental protection.
