Summary:Eric Rowland Guiler was a Lecturer 1948-51, Senior Lecturer 1952-73 and then Reader 1974-83 in Zoology at the University of Tasmania. UT547 E Guiler Thylacine Studies includes 160 small 8mm film reels and notes on site locations taken on his Thylacine expeditions. Also includes bundles of cards of animal sightings records 1953-1978 of potorous, Tasmanian devils, tiger cats and native cats at Mount Nelson, Granville Harbour and Cape Portland. Donated by Eric Guiler, 1993. UT470 Marine Life Photographs is a collection of photographs taken by ER Guiler, including the environment and close-ups of species in Tasmania mainly from the 1950s, as well as a series taken in Chile in 1955. Prints approx. 120mm x 160mm or 115mm x 115mm.
