Summary:In this paper, we present the efforts undertaken by theAustralian sea ice research group to support calibrationand validation of CryoSat-2 products in the East Antarcticsea ice zone, basically between the Australian Antarcticresearch stations Mawson and Casey between about60 deg E and 110 deg E. The first cruise for this purposewas undertaken in October/November 2010, and preliminaryresults are presented here.
