Summary:This photo shows a seismological station deployed in the Kerguelen Islands during the Lisisker measurement campaign, scheduled to run from 2022 to 2025. The site is located to the east of the archipelago and has been named "Campbell". The equipment is powered by 2 solar panels mounted on a tiltable, guyed structure. All the equipment (battery, digitiser, etc) is stored in the metal box that can be seen under the structure. The sensor has been buried close to these elements. The instruments belong to the national mobile seismological park (SisMob), which is part of Epos-France, a research infrastructure (RI) in the solid Earth field, dedicated to observation. Its aim is to advance our knowledge of the Earth system in all its diversity and complexity. In October 2023, Epos-France took over from the French seismological and geodetic network Résif-Epos, which deployed modern instrumentation (seismometers, GNSS stations and gravimeters) across France to measure the deformations of the Earth's surface. All French research on the solid Earth will gradually join the Epos-France RI, which represents the French participation in EPOS, the European research infrastructure whose mission is to integrate national and transnational RIs responsible for monitoring and understanding the complex dynamic system of the solid Earth. Le site est situé à l’est de l’archipel et a été nommé « Campbell ». Le matériel est alimenté par 2 panneaux solaires, montés sur une structure inclinable et haubanée. L’ensemble du matériel (batterie, numériseur, etc) est stocké dans la caisse métallique que l’on aperçoit sous la structure. Le capteur a quant à lui été enterré à proximité de ces éléments.
