Description
Summary:This study is about an exclusive coexistence: at the height of the Nazi threat over Europe, only in Denmark we can observe together a) a freely and officially active Freemasonry b) a Resistance movement c) an organized aid operation towards fleeing Jews. If freemasonry carried on a clandestine activity during European totalitarian regimes, it officially survived only in Denmark (and Iceland), Sweden, U.K., Ireland and Switzerland. This research tries to shed a light on the likely involvement of Danish freemasonry in that rescue of Danish Jews and in the resistential movement.
