Daljnjim smanjenjem ledenih površina, dijelovi Arktika postati će sigurnijima za navigaciju, barem tijekom ljeta. Polarne plovidbene rute predstavljaju kraću udaljenost između država arktičkog područja i u tim rutama se vidi velika komercijalna isplativost. Brodovi slabijih Ice Classa i brodovi bez dodatno ojačanog trupa će moći koristiti iste. Rute koje se dotiču ovoga rada su: Sjeverozapadni prolaz (Northwest passage − NWP), Sjeveroistočni prolaz (Northeast passage), Sjeverna morska ruta (Northern sea route − NSR), Transpolarana ruta (Transpolar route − TSR) i Arktički most (Arctic bridge). Global warming affected the reduction of ice in polar regions. By further reducing of the ice surface, parts of the Arctic will become safer for navigation, at least during the summer. Polar navigation routes represent a shorter distance between the states of the Arctic region and in these routes there is a great commercial profitability. Ships of weaker Ice Class and ships without an additional reinforced hull will be able to use the same. The routes involved in this paper are: Northwest Passage (NWP), Northeast Passage, Northern Sea Route (NSR), Transpolar Route (TSR) and Arctic Bridge (Arctic Bridge).
