I feel well assured that you were purposely [illegible] fo[illegible] regarding the report, and could readily explain the reason to you in a personal interview. There has been anxious inquiry for your notes on glaciation. I wish you could give them to the public [this?] the volumes of the Century or Harper’s Monthly. Just now would be an auspicious time for the publication of any thing relating to the Arctic region. This little volume is much sought after and is highly commended by the press.
