Discharging mostly to W[west] of main mass of mtn[mountain]. Very high 7 [At top are names and addresses in each person’s own handwriting] Cornelia Harriman Arden N.Y Mary Harriman Arden N.Y. Dorothea Draper New York City. on L[Lake] Washington to another park Saw miserable eagles pea fowl Tame elk extremely gentle begging food from visitors. Young [sequoia] both species doing well. Magnif[Magnificent] madrones 40 ft[feet] h[high] 3 ft[feet] dia[diameter] dying from hacking trampling & general bad usage Trunks covered with advertising cards & plates. Returning from park by rail went to Club room with Mr [Craige] for an hour. Mr. Harriman came in with Mr Smith. Had punch. Mr Gannett Burroughs present.
