I would gladly write the pamphlet you want for the sake of the birds, if I possibly oould, but at present I am overloaded with work vshich should have been done long ago. I am now writing a book on the Yosemite, following which I will have to write a book on Alaska promised my publishers years ago, with several other books which have not yet even been commenced. And besides "a' others and a' that" throw other odd bits of work into the shape of magazine articles and letters - duties of every sort; while at best my literary work moves about as slowly as a glacier. But as you must know, I am heartily with you in your Audubon Society work for the preservation of Sod's blessed darlings of the forests and fields, and with all my heart will do what I can.With best wishes, and bidding you Godspeed, I am,Faithfully yours,[John Muir]P.S.
