Fairly good views. Willows no flr[flowers] ½ doz species. V[ery] beautiful Epilobium in flr[flower] (latifolium [at shanty] Dryas octopetala in flr[flower]. & beggartick[s] - - - - Small spruce found sitchensis alder in flr[flower]. Stories) Sparrows or worms wh[ich] are the worst. Don’t know said boy I never had the sparrows. 10th party landed at M[uir] Gl[acier] early 2d party on mor[aine] islands near entrance of bay 3d near Willoughby Isld[Island]. 4 to be landed as high up the berg as possible from ship. [Then] rowboat to explore examine the Pacific Gl[acier]. & others as to changes in 20 Yrs[years]. 5th.
