Wife and child well. Between Pt. Barrow and Pt. Beltcher [Belcher] and Icy Cape the movements of the ice are very variable from season to season and also throughout each season. It seldom leaves this party of the coast very far, some years not at all, and is always liable to be driven close in shore by a few hours of stiff, N.ly, favorable wind.
