Since I came home, I have studied all I could find about the Muir Glacier: but I find myself very desirous to ask your opinion on one or two points about which there seems a conflict of testimony – I should be glad to know what you rather than all others think on the matter: not simply to have my paper [illegible], but because the Glacier is to me inexp[illegible]ibly interesting.
