Summary:From abstract: The area mapped is on the east coast of Prince of Wales Island, southeastern Alaska, about 35 miles northwest of the town of Ketchikan. Deposits of magnetite and copper in the mapped area and on Kasaan Peninsula, which adjoins it on the southeast, have been mined for copper and have produced more than 600,000 tons of ore valued at more than $6 million.
