Description
Summary:Operation and maintenance of the network, on the Alaska Peninsula and the southern offshore area between the Semidi Islands and the western coast of Kodiak island, are discussed first; plans for improvements are presented. Some of the data obtained during the past few years are shown, and interpretations of the results are given. An understanding of the seismotectonics of the area is important for assessing its geothermal potential and evaluating the seismic risk. 10 figures. (RWR)
