The geology and mineralization of the Granite Creek Area of the Eastern Alaska Range have been studied. Pennsylvanian hypabyssal volcanic dacite porphyry is the basal geologic unit in the area. Low-grade porphyry copper mineralization and porphyry copper-type alteration is associated with porphyritic granodiorite.
