Summary: | A scene from the Pageant of the Northwest in 1914. The back of the photo reads: "Radisson presenting his plan for the organization of the Hudson Bay Company." The English Coulee runs around the back of the performers. Joseph Koucky is seated in the middle of the platform. An old car can be seen at left on top of the hill. The Pageant of the Northwest was written by eighteen students under the supervision of Orin G. Libby and Fredrick Koch. The pageant employed several students and a few Native American extras to portray the four successive stages of the exploration of the Northwest. https://commons.und.edu/archive-photos/1402/thumbnail.jpg |
