The image representations of Jean de Léry's travel report: A calvinist contribution to indigenous theme

This article aims to present briefly a reading of the imagery representations of Jean de Léry in his travel report to Brazil, in the context of the establishment of the Antarctic France, by presenting an expression of appreciation of the Tupinambá Indians as human beings. Reflecting his Calvinist worldview, especially regarding the human value from its essence as the image and likeness of God. Contributing in this way to an ethical and just relationship with the indigenous peoples. En este artículo pretendemos presentar brevemente una lectura de la representaciones imaginarias de Jean de Léry en su relato de su viaje a Brasil, em contexto del establecimiento de la Francia antártica, por presentar una expresión de valoración de los indios Tupinambá como seres humanos. Reflejando tu cosmovisión Calvinista, especialmente considerando el valor humano desde su esencia como imagen y semejanza de Dios. Contribuyendo así a una relación ética y justa com Gente India. Neste artigo pretende-se apresentar sucintamente uma leitura das representações imagética de Jean de Léry em seu relato de viagem ao Brasil, no contexto do estabelecimento da França Antártica, por apresentar uma expressão de valorização dos índios tupinambá como ser humanos. Refletindo a sua visão de mundo calvinista, especialmente quanto ao valor humano a partir de sua essência como imagem e semelhança de Deus. Contribuindo deste modo para uma relação ética e justa com os povos indígenas.
