Description
Summary:These data files include the primary video, an audio file, and a transcript of the movie created using ELAN software to track the words and timestamps of the audio track. The transcription software files are included in the zipped folder called "Annotated Video ELAN Files." The transcription is translated from Ojibwe to English and is presented as a pdf file. This video (6 minutes) features one Elder (Rose Tainter) giving directing two others (Mugs Porter and Nancy Jones) in order to set a table for guests. Good functional language demonstrated; how to collaborate on a task; how to give directions; how to ask for corrections and clarification. This is the second of a series of 36 short semi-scripted conversations first speakers of Ojibwe improvised the dialogues for during the summer of 2010. National Science Foundation
