On cover of portfolio in gold "Historic first flights of Pan American Clippers" with the Pan American logo, beneath "Plates from the originals by John T. McCoy" (left) and "A limited edition published in 1963 signed by the artist" (right), all within a decorative border. The inside flap contains a publication statement, "Published by Pan American World Airways, Inc., New York, N.Y. Produced by Frost & Reed Ltd. in Great Britain"; a table of contents for the 9 plates by number and title, and, beneath the table of contents, the statement "Two years' research has gone into the development of this series of paintings. The Pan American insignia, serial numbers, aircraft markings, and geographical settings are accurate for each flight."
