Summary:Coastal areas are water zones that are influenced by the rise and fall of sea levels or known as tides. In this zone, many marine organisms can be found, one of which is from the Bivalves group. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of Bivalves species in the intertidal zone of the Coast of Nepa Mekar Village, Lakudo District, Central Buton Regency. This research is quantitative descriptive. This research was carried out in August 2021. Sampling using the quadratic transect method was 3 transects with a 1x1 meter quadrant with 10 plots on each transect line. Each transect has a length of 100 meters, the distance between them is 60 meters. The results showed that there were 16 types of Bivalves found in the research location, , namely Arcuatula senhousia, Modiolus modiolus, Circa scripta, Pitar sp., Circa sp. 1, Circa sp. 2, Venerupis geographica, Glycymeris sp., Glycymeris aspersa, Anadara fultoni, Tellina radiata, Lutraria lutraria, Atrina rigida, Pinna bicolor, Pinna sp. The diversity of Bivalves species in the intertidal zone of the Coast of Nepa Mekar Village, Lakudo District, Central Buton Regency is still in the medium category.
