Summary:Faze prilagajanja na vodo imajo pomembno vlogo pri osvojitvi osnovnih dejavnikov, ki jih morajo otroci osvojiti, preden se začnejo učiti plavalne tehnike. V modernem času je pomembno, da znajo slovenski otroci plavati, saj jih ima večina nenehen stik z vodo. Zaradi pomanjkanja programov za prilagajanje na vodo predšolskih otrok smo se odločili, da ga sami izdelamo in preizkusimo v praksi. Namen je bil, da ugotovimo ustreznost našega programa na individualnem primeru. Pri raziskovanju ustreznosti programa smo uporabili metodo študija primera, ki je sestavljena iz trinajstih načrtovanih vadbenih enot, na vzorcu štiri leta stare deklice. Rezultati študije primera so pokazali, da je deklica opazno napredovala in na koncu osvojila vseh sedem faz prilagajanja na vodo. Raziskava je prinesla vpogled v postopno osvajanje faz prilagajanja na vodo. Lahko predvidevamo, da bo želja po programu za prilagajanje na vodo vedno prisotna s strani staršev, pedagogov, vzgojiteljev in učiteljev plavanja, zato je naša raziskava pomemben doprinos k tej tematiki. An ability to swim is highly important for children in Slovenia who tend to be frequently exposed to water. The phases of water adaptation play an important role in the basic skills which children need to acquire prior to learning swimming technique. However, there is a marked lack of courses focussing on water adaptation for pre-school children. We thus designed our own water adaptation programme and we present here a case study which aims to evaluate the suitability of the programme for pre-school children. A four year old girl was enrolled in our programme which comprised 13 planned exercise units. Our results indicate that the girl achieved significant progress and ultimately learned all seven phases of water adaptation. Our study provides an insight into the importance of gradual learning of the phases of water adaptation and, in light of our anticipation of a high level of demand for such courses from parents, teachers and swimming instructors alike, represents a significant contribution to the subject.
