Summary:Magistrsko delo predstavlja idejno rešitev za prenovo Tomosovega bloka v Kopru. Naloga se osredotoča na problem praznega ambienta ter njegove pojavnosti. Tomosov blok zaradi svoje lokacije in volumna ponuja odlično izhodiščno točko za ureditev potencialnega večstanovanjskega objekta. Tomosov blok se predvidi kot kombinacija javnega in zasebnega programa. V pritličju, ter na mestu nekdanje terase se uredijo javni prostori. Pritličje se nameni prostorom Javnega stanovanjskega sklada, kateri že danes domujejo na tem mestu. Na mesto nekdanje terase Tomosovega bloka se uredi večja kavarna, katera služi kot optimalna razgledna točka, ter kot točka dogajanja in shajanja. Zasebni program je v celoti predviden stanovanjem. Stanovanja so različnih tipologij, primerna za vse potrebe in načine bivanja. Arhitekturni koncept zagovarja ohranjanje dela arhitekta Eda Mihevca. Osrednji volumen Tomosove stolpnice se v celoti ohrani, zgodijo se določene perforacije in širjenje severni in južni smeri, ter v višino. Kot odgovor na potrebo po večjih zelenih površinah v samem mestnem jedru se južna stran objekta uredi v zelenem konceptu tako, da se na novo dodane balkone predvidijo korita za drevesa z manjšim koreninskim sistemom. Pod Nazorjevim trgom se uredi garaža, katera v celoti reši aktualen problem parkiranja v samem mestnem središču. Prenova Tomosove stolpnice ponudi nov način življenja za prebivalce mesta in hkrati zadosti kriterijem bivalnega okolja, ter ponudi določeno mero atraktivnosti. Ureditev stolpnice pa pripomore tudi k sami identiteti in razpoznavnosti mesta Koper. This thesis presents a conceptual solution for Tomos building in Koper. It is focusing on a problem of an empty ambient and its incidence. Tomos building has a great potential for multistorey building renovation due to its position and location . Tomos building is foreseen as a combination of a public and private program. Public offices are arranged on ground floor and terrace. Ground floor is presumed for a Public housing fund, which is already located there. A larger coffee shop is predicted on the former terrace of Tomos’s tower and it serves as the highest lookout spot and a place of gathering and socializing. Private program is foreseen for all the apartments. Apartments are in different typologies and suitable for every need. Architectural concept advocates conservation of Edo Mihevc’s work. Internal volume of Tomos’s tower is completely preserved, with exception of a few perforations and upgrades. To answer the necessity for green spaces in the city centre, the south facade of the tower is predicted in green concept with newly added balconies and troughs for trees with shallow root system. Underground garage is foreseen under the Nazorjev square which entirely solves the parking problem in the city centre. The renovation of the Tomos building offers a new way of life for city residents and at the same time satisfies requirements of a living environment, and gives the place a certain measure of attractiveness. The renovation of the tower also contributes to the identity and distinctiveness of Koper city.
