UPORABA MICROSOFT HYPER-V ZA VIRTUALIZACIJO STREŽNIKOV IN NAMIZIJ

V diplomski nalogi predstavljamo postopek uvedbe virtualizacije strežnikov v podjetju Optotek d.o.o. in preučujemo možnost vpeljave koncepta oddaljenih namizij. Podjetje Optotek d.o.o. uporablja strežniško infrastrukturo, ki zaradi svoje neprilagodljivosti ne more več slediti hitremu razvoju podjetja in zagotavljati varne ter zanesljive podpore poslovanju podjetja. Zaradi vedno večje uporabe računalnikov kot pripomočkov v sami proizvodnji se je pokazala tudi potreba po učinkovitejšem obvladovanju delovnih postaj. Cilj naloge je bil poiskati in implementirati učinkovito rešitev prenosa strežnikov v virtualno okolje ter preučiti možnost uporabe te tehnologije za učinkovitejše obvladovanje vedno večjega števila računalnikov v proizvodnem procesu. Z uporabo ustrezne literature in spletnih virov smo najprej poiskali primerne rešitve, jih primerjali in izbrali najustreznejšo. Postavili smo testno okolje ter izbrano rešitev tudi preizkusili v praksi. Rezultat naloge je uspešen prenos izbrane tehnologije Hyper-V v praktično uporabo v podjetju ter ustrezno podprta odločitev, da uvedba tehnologije Microsoft VDI v danem okolju ni smiselna. Podjetje zdaj uporablja sodobno, varno in prilagodljivo strežniško okolje, kar je eden od temeljev za uspešno nadaljnjo širitev podjetja. The thesis presents the process of introduction of server virtualization in the company Optotek d.o.o. and examining the possibility of introducing the concept of remote desktops. Company Optotek d.o.o. is using server infrastructure, which, because of its inflexibility, can no longer keep pace with rapid development of the company and provide safe and reliable support for its operations. Due to the increasing use of computers as tools in the production itself, it has also highlighted the need for more effective management of workstations. The aim of the thesis was to find and implement an effective solution to transfer servers in a virtual environment and to explore the possibility of applying this technology for more effective management of the increasing number of computers in the production process. Using the relevant literature and web sources, we first found several suitable solutions, compared them and selected the most appropriate. We set up a test environment and tested the chosen solution in practice. The result is the successful transfer of selected Hyper-V in the practical application in the company and adequately supported decision that the introduction of Microsoft VDI technology in a given environment does not make sense. The company now uses a modern, secure and flexible server environment, which is one of the foundations for the further successful expansion of the company.
