Summary:V diplomskem delu z naslovom Slikanice, primerne za branje ljudi s posebnimi potrebami sem na kratko predstavila teorijo slikanice, lahko branje, namenjeno osebam s posebnimi potrebami, celostno branje slikanic za branje odraslih z motnjami v duševnem razvoju in Downov sindrom. V praktičnem delu sem se podrobneje analizirala štiri slikanice iz zbirke o Bibi in Gustiju avtorice Ide Mlakar. V sami analizi sem se posvetila tako besedilu kot tudi ilustracijam in analizirala interakcijo med njima. Vsako od štirih slikanic sem prebrala 18-letnemu dekletu (v nadaljevanju Mojca), ki je obravnavane slikanice tudi samostojno obnovila. Na podlagi njene obnove sem zapisala povzetek obnove in njenega razumevanja ter razhajanje med zgodbo in njeno obnovo. Pri pisanju diplomskega dela sem v teoretičnem delu uporabila deskriptivno metodo, saj sem podajala že znana dejstva iz literature. V praktičnem delu sem uporabila metodo analize, sinteze in metodo praktičnega dela. Vzorec predstavlja 18-letno dekle Mojca z Downovim sindromom. In this thesis, titled Picture Books Suitable for Persons with Special Needs, a brief description of the the theory of a picture book, the light read for persons with special needs was presented. Moreover, the integrated reading of picture books by the adults with intellectual disabilities was also addressed, as well as the paragraph on the Down’s syndrome. The practical part contains an in-depth analysis of the four picture books from a set of books about Bibi and Gusti, written by Ida Mlakar. The analysis is focused on the text as well as illustrations, especially to the interaction between these. Each of the four picture books has been read to Mojca, an 18-year-old girl with special needs, and then she summarized the story with her own words. Based on her story, the abstract of her understanding and the discrepancy between the actual story Mojca’s version was outlined. In the theoretical part, the descriptive method was used, compiling the well-known facts about the research problem from the literature. In the practical part, the method of analysis, synthesis and methods of practical work were used. My research subject was a 18-year-old girl with Down’s syndrome, named Mojca.
