Summary:Diplomsko delo obravnava področje konfliktov med generacijami, ki tvorijo delovno populacijo v organizaciji. Teoretičen del je usmerjen predvsem k pojasnitvi pojma medgeneracijskega konflikta ter ostalih ključnih pojmov. Najprej smo predstavili posamezne tipe generacij, ki sestavljajo današnjo populacijo zaposlenih v organizaciji. Opisali smo njihove lastnosti, raznolikosti in prednosti. Komuniciranje je del našega vsakdana. Medgeneracijsko komuniciranje privede tudi do konfliktov. Predstavili smo najpogostejše vrste konfliktov, ki nastajajo med generacijami na delovnem mestu ter njihove dobre in slabe strani. Z razumevanjem raznolikosti generacij ohranjamo vitalnost organizacije. Ker se delovna populacija stara, na delovno mesto pa prihaja mlajša populacija, je poznavanje lastnosti generacij toliko bolj pomembna. V naši organizaciji so trenutno po starosti prisotne vse tri generacije, tako med samim vodstvom, kot tudi med ostalimi zaposlenimi. Med njimi prav tako prihaja do konfliktov. Problema ne prestavljajo sami konflikti, oziroma rešeni konflikti, za organizacijo nevernost predstavljajo nerešeni konflikti, saj nerešeni konflikti predstavljajo motnje v delovanju organizacije. S pravim načinom komunikacije in pravim načinom reševanja konfliktov bi bilo zadovoljstvo zaposlenih v organizaciji večje, kar bi pozitivno vplivalo tudi na njeno še boljše poslovanje. This diploma thesis deals with conflicts among different generations which form a working team in an organization. The theoretical part focuses mainly on clarifying the term »generation conflict« as well as other key terms. Firstly, there are different types of generations presented, which form the structure of an organization. Furthermore, their characteristics, diversity and advantages are described. Communication is a part of everyday life. Communication among different generations undoubtedly leads to conflicts. Most frequent types of conflicts that arise among different generations in a workplace are described as well their pros and cons. By understanding the diversity of a generation, we can restore the vitality of an organization. It is of a great importance to understand the specific characteristics of each generation separately as one improves with age and the other one comes to work anew. Our organization consists of three generations, among the board of leaders as well as other employees. Conflicts form on a daily basis. However, as such they are not a threat to the organization, it is the ones that remain unsolved that are a distortion in the function of the management of the organization. By proper communication as well as proper way of facing the conflicts, the overall satisfaction in the organization would be better, which would consequently lead to better management of the company.
