Terorizem in varstvo okolja : diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Varnost in policijsko delo

V tej diplomski nalogi je v petem poglavju opisan predmet proučevanja ter cilji diplomske naloge, hipoteze ter metode, ki so bili uporabljeni pri pisanju. Najprej je opisana zgodovina terorizma kot prvi pojem problematike, ki je v naslednjem, sedmem poglavju tudi opredeljena s pomočjo raznih avtorjev, od katerih so povzete definicije. Nato je terorizem razdeljen v skupine glede na snovi, ki bi se lahko uporabile pri terorističnem napadu ter izpostavljene njihove glavne lastnosti. Pri poglavjih o kemičnem in biološkem orožju so opisane tudi lastnosti agensov, ki so jih uporabili v boju, njihove posledice ter način, kako dekontaminirati hrano in oblačila, če se že kontaminirajo, predvsem pa, kako se sami zaščitimo pred kontaminacijo z omenjenimi agensi. Pri jedrskem orožju je opisano tudi preživetje dveh atomskih bomb v drugi svetovni vojni. Za tem je opisana obramba pred orožjem za množično uničevanje, predvsem pri nas ter kako naj bi potekalo reševanje ob takšnih primerih ter kakšni so ukrepi za samo zaščito. V osmem poglavju je opisano, kaj terorizem predstavlja danes ter potencialne smeri, v katere bi se lahko še razvil in na katero področje bi lahko še vplival. Na koncu diplomske naloge je opravljena še analiza primera, in sicer teroristični napad na WTC v ZDA, pri katerem je pravzaprav podano lastno mnenje, teorije in ugotovitve o dotičnem primeru in dogajanju v tistem času. Pri zaključku pridemo do zanimivih ugotovitev ter verifikacij hipotez. In this thesis, the fifth chapter talks about the purpose of the study and the objectives of the thesis, hypotheses and methods that were used to write this document. Firstly, it describes the history of the concept of terrorism as the first issue secondly, the seventh chapter describes the definition of terrorism which is combined from definitions of various authors. Next, terrorism was divided into groups according to the materials that could potentially be used in a terrorist attack, pointing out their main characteristics. Chapters on chemical and biological weapons describe the features of agents that have been used in combat, their consequences, and the way to decontaminate food and clothing if they are already contaminated and especially how to protect ourselves from contamination with these agents. The chapter on nuclear weapons describes the survival of two atomic bombs in World War II. Furthermore, this thesis describes defense against weapons of mass destruction, especially in Slovenia, how to react if such a situation should take place and what measures for self protection are. In the eighth chapter is described what terrorism represents today, the potential directions in which it could be further developed and most of all which area could still be affected. At the end of the thesis an analysis of the case made, namely the 9/11 terrorist attack on the WTC in the U.S. where the right to give our own opinion was preserved, theories and findings on the particular case and what was happening at the time. In conclusion we came up with interesting findings and verifications of hypotheses.
