Summary:V diplomski nalogi smo se najbolj posvetili uspešnosti policistov, njihovemu nagrajevanju in dejavnikom, ki jih delajo uspešne in postajajo zaradi tega še boljši. Teoretičen del se začne s predstavitvijo kriterijev, ki so pomembni za policista. Prvi del teorije smo razdelili na uspešnost policijske postaje in na uspešnost lokalne skupnosti. V drugem delu teoretičnega dela pa smo bolj podrobno opisali nagrajevanje, iz česa je sestavljeno, torej iz denarnih in nedenarnih nagrad. Nekaj smo povedali tudi o CAF modelu, to je ocenjevanje delovne uspešnosti. CAF upošteva posebnosti v javnem sektorju, kakšen vpliv imajo policisti na politiko oziroma kakšen vpliv ima politika pri njihovem strokovnem delu. So pa seveda policisti tisti, ki pripomorejo k temu, da bo slovenska policija uspešna, predvsem z dobrim delom, skrbnostjo, učinkovitostjo in s svojo sto odstotno predanostjo. Od države pa je pomembno, da policiste na različne načine motivira za svoje delo, saj bodo na tak način svoje delo opravljali z večjim veseljem. Približno pet let se država Slovenija bojuje s finančno krizo, danes je brezposelnih ljudi že dobrih 12,8% in številka še narašča. Na udaru pa smo predvsem mladi, ki se še izobražujemo, saj prihodnosti praktično ni. Vse več podjetij gre v stečaj in manj priložnosti za zaposlitev bomo imeli mi. Nato smo prišli na empirični del, kjer so različni rezultati pokazali kaj je policistom pomembno. V samem vprašalniku smo dali prednost bolj sami uspešnosti policistov. Predstavili smo dejavnike, ki policiste delajo uspešne, nato pa so policisti presodili, ali je to za njih pomembno ali ne. Menijo, da so pomembni dejavniki osebna poštenost, integriteta, iznajdljivost in pošteno plačilo za opravljeno delo. Osebna poštenost pa je po njihovem mnenju najpomembnejši dejavnik uspešnosti policistov. In my diploma thesis we were most interested in the performance of police officers, their rewarding and in the factors that make them successful and to strive to become even better. The theoretical part begins with a presentation of the criteria most important to police officers. The first theoretical part is divided into the performance of the police station and the performance of the local community. In the second theoretical part we thoroughly described rewarding and of what it consist, meaning monetary and non-monetary rewards. Something has also been said about the CAF model, this is a performance evaluation model. CAF takes into account the particularities of the public sector, what impact do police officers have on politics and what influence does politics have on police officers’ professional work. Police officers are of course the ones who contribute the most to the success of Slovenian police. They contribute with hard work, care, effectiveness and with their 100% dedication. The state has to motivate police officers in different ways to ensure that they are happier at work. Slovenia has been dealing with the financial crisis for about five years and the unemployment rate is 12,8% and continues to increase. With almost no future to look forward to, it is us young educating people who are most vulnerable. In the empirical part there are various results showing, what is important to police officers. In the questionnaire we emphasized the performance of police officers. We presented the factors, which make police officers successful, and then the police officers decided whether the factor is important to them or not. They consider personal integrity, ingenuity and to be paid fairly to be important factors. Moreover personal integrity was singled out to be the most important to them.
