Description
The main aim of this diploma work was to found that if parents’ opinion about swimming activities is in relation with including children into swimming activities. We wanted to found out how parents knowledge affects their participation into learning their child of swimming basics and if the living environment and education o affect their decision whether include their child into swimming activity or not. We also wanted to discover which are the main reasons for parents to include their children into swimming activity and with which obstacles they have to deal with. 130 parents from city and country area were included into our research. Their children are between age 6 and 9 and have already finished swimming course. We gained data with a questionnaire and analyzed it with SPSS. The results have shown that most parents think positive about swimming activity which means that they would involve their children into swimming activity if not yet included. We found out that parents who swim well learn their children bases of swimming. Education and living environment influence on including children into swimming activities. Reasons for including children into swimming activities are connected with its positive effects on their healthy development. Obstacles may be found in lack of time and money.
