Description
Rezultati so predstavljeni kvalitativno – z opisovanjem. The theoretical part of the present paper discusses the project work and the principal which it is based on, and research lessons as a contemporary approach to teaching natural sciences at early ages. The comparison between the above mentioned didactic approaches, as well as the comparison between the frontal lessons and project work is made in detail. There is also a detailed description of the naturalistic content of the project – volcanoes. The empirical part discusses the project with the title Let us get to know natural phenomena – volcano. The project was carried out in the first class of the nine year primary school. The goal of the project was to encourage the pupils to think independently, form ideas to solve a problem in groups and individually, and to develop individual naturalistic competences. In the ideal project plan and in the research activities that followed, special emphasis was given to interdisciplinary connections, to fulfilling the goals of numerous fields in the framework of the same naturalistic topic. Thirteen children from the first grade participated in the project, as well as their teacher. The results are presented qualitatively – through description. The evaluation of goal realization on individual days is presented in detail.
