V zadnjih nekaj letih se je na področju trga z električno energijo veliko spremenilo. Pomemben mejnik je bilo leto 2001, ko se je v Sloveniji odprl trg z električno energijo. Pred tem smo imeli zaprt sistem in popoln nadzor države. V teh nekaj letih se je veliko spremenilo predvsem na področju cene električne energije, ki ima ključen pomen pri odprtju trga. Pri sami diplomski nalogi smo predstavili trg in njegove značilnosti, pri čemer smo se ukvarjali s cenami električne energije tako na trgu na debelo kot na drobno. Namen praktičnega diplomskega dela je ugotoviti, kakšne so povezave nekaterih, v glavnem makroekonomskih kazalnikov, s cenami električne energije. V analizi smo zajeli bruto domači proizvod, inflacijo, število menjav dobaviteljev in porabo električne energije v Sloveniji. In the last few years there have been many changes in the field of the electric power market in Slovenia. A very important turning point was the year 2001 when Slovenia opened its electric power market. Before that it was a closed market and fully controlled by the state. In recent years there have been changes in pricing of electric power which is the key to an open trade. In the diploma work we have presented the market and its characteristics in which we have analysed the electricity prices on the wholesale market and as well as on the retail market. The purpose of practical part of this diploma work was to find out the correlation between some mainly macroeconomic indicators and the price of electric power. In the analysis we have included the gross domestic product, inflation, the number of changes of the suppliers and the consumption of electric power in Slovenia.
