Summary:V magistrskem delu smo na osnovi izsledkov raziskave o kvaliteti storitev v domovih in o pričakovanjih potencialnih uporabnikov teh storitev razvili smernice za oblikovanje storitev dolgotrajne oskrbe. V namen raziskave smo razvili vprašalnik, ki je vseboval štiri sklope: splošno, oskrba, zdravstvena nega in dodatne aktivnosti. Uporabljena je bila metoda anketiranja pri 360 osebah, od tega 126 stanovalcev treh domov starejših občanov, njihovih 127 svojcev in 107 bodočih uporabnikov storitev domov. Anketiranje je potekalo od junija do oktobra 2010. Rezultati, ki smo jih statistično obdelali v raziskavi, so služili za potrditve ali zavrnitve postavljenih hipotez. Izpostavljamo nekatere izmed njih. Med stanovalci, svojci in bodočimi uporabniki ne obstaja razlika glede pričakovanj storitev oskrbe in zdravstvene nege, obstaja pa razlika v pomembnosti ponudbe oskrbe med domovi in pri dodatnih aktivnostih. Trenutnim stanovalcem dodatne aktivnosti niso pomembne. Večini stanovalcev se zdi pomembno, da so deležni strokovne zdravstvene oskrbe v primeru, da zbolijo za demenco, v primeru poslabšanja zdravstvenega stanja pa ne želijo hospitalizacije. Stanovalcem moškega spola je bolj pomembno, da aktivnosti (oblačenje, umivanje, hranjenje, odvajanje), ki jih še zmorejo opravljati sami, tudi opravljajo. Pri stanovalcih glede na starost ne obstaja razlika pri pomembnosti, da so vključeni pri odločanju o svojem zdravljenju. Stanovalci prejemajo v domu oskrbo in zdravstveno nego, kot so jo pričakovali. Bodoči uporabniki pričakujejo v dolgotrajni oskrbi upoštevanje dostojanstva, zasebnosti, prijaznost, odzive na pritožbe, samooskrbo, individualnost, organizacijo lastnega časa, strokovnost in pestrost dodatnih aktivnosti. Smernice smo oblikovali na podlagi dobljenih rezultatov raziskave in evropskih modelov dolgotrajne oskrbe. Predlagamo, da bi se upoštevali naslednji dejavniki: dostojanstvo, zasebnost, strokovnost, individualnost, prijaznost, odzivi na pritožbe, samooskrba in organizacija lastnega časa. The aim of the research was to investigate the of old people’s home resident satisfaction with services and the expectations of future residents. The questionnaire included four topics: general, care, medical care and additional activities. We used the method of survey with 360 respondents, 126 of which were residents in three old people’s homes with their 127 relatives and 107 potential future users of the services. The survey was conducted form June until October 2010. Statistical analysis of the data was performed and the results either confirmed or disapproved the hypotheses. The results revealed that residents, their relatives and future users display no significant difference in their expectations regarding care and medical care, but there is significant difference in the importance of care among homes and additional activities. Current residents do not find additional activities important. Most residents find medical care extremely important in case they suffered from dementia. In case their health deteriorated they reject hospitalisation. Male residents stress the importance of managing some basic activities on their own (getting dressed, washing, feeding or defecation). Residents display no significant difference in age regarding their involvement in the decision making about their medical care. The results show that homes’ residents receive medical care as expected. In the long-term care future residents expect the respect of their dignity, privacy, kindness, response to their complaints, self-care, individuality, their own time management, professionalism and diversity of additional activities. Directives were designed basing on the survey results and the European models of long-term care. We propose to take into account the following factors: dignity, privacy, professionalism, individuality, friendliness, responses to their complaints, self – care and self – organization time.
