Summary:Povzetek Diplomsko delo z naslovom Vpliv staršev na vključevanje otrok v gibalne dejavnosti je sestavljeno iz dveh delov: teoretičnega in empiričnega. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili gibalne sposobnosti in telesne značilnosti otrok, ustvarjanje gibalnih kompetenc otrok v predšolskem obdobju in prednosti gibalno izkušenjsko bogatega okolja. Empirični del diplomskega dela zajema ugotovitve raziskav, ki smo jih zbrali s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika na vzorcu 76 staršev 4-6 let starih otrok, ki obiskujejo Vrtec pri Osnovni šoli Bizeljsko in Vrtec Krško, ter staršev 6-7 let starih otrok, ki obiskujejo prvi razred v osnovni šoli Bizeljsko. Namen raziskave je bil podrobneje pojasniti in ovrednotiti vpliv staršev na vključevanje otrok v gibalne dejavnosti. Z obdelavo podatkov smo prišli do naslednjih ugotovitev: največ staršev je športno aktivnih samo med vikendi, največ staršev je športno aktivnih skupaj s svojim otrokom večkrat na teden, najpogostejši vzrok za gibalno neaktivnost je pomanjkanje časa, starši, ki so bili sami kot otroci vključeni v športna društva, pogosteje vključujejo svoje otroke v katero izmed oblik organizirane športne vadbe, starši poznajo pomen športne aktivnosti za otrokov hitrejši razvoj, največ staršev je gibalno aktivnih skupaj z otrokom na prostem in največ staršev vključi otroke v organizirano športno vadbo zaradi ţelje otroka. Abstract The diploma paper entitled The influence of parents on including children in physical activities contains two parts, theoretical and empirical. Theoretical part presents children's physical capabilities and their physical characteristics, adaptation of physical competences in a preschool period and the advantages of environment which is rich in physical experiences. The empirical part contains findings of a research obtained with the survey which included 76 parents of four– to six-year-old children included in Bizeljsko and Krško kindergarten, and parents of six– to seven-year-old children included in the first grade of Bizeljsko primary school. The aim of a research was to explain and evaluate the influence of parents on including their children in physical activities. The results of a research lead us to following conclusions: most of the parents are physically active only during the weekends, most of the parents are physically active frequently during the week with their children and the most frequent reason for not being physically active is the lack of time. Parents who were members of sport clubs in their childhood, include their children in different kinds of organised sport activities. Parents are aware of the important role of physical activity in children's physical development, most of the parents are physically active outdoors with their children, and most children are included in organised sport activities because of their own wish.
