Summary:V diplomskem delu smo prikazali vlogo medicinke sestre pri obravnavi bolnika z revmatoidnim artritisom, z raziskavo pa ugotovili ali bolezen vpliva na njihovo kakovost življenja. Uporabili smo deskriptivno (opisno) metodo dela. S pomočjo študija domače in tuje literature, ter internetnih virov pa smo predstavili teoretična izhodišča. Opisali smo revmatoidni artritis in njegovo epidemiologijo, etiopatogenezo, klinično sliko, zdravljenje, rehabilitacijo ter vlogo medicinske sestre pri zdravstveni negi. Poudarek smo dali na vlogo in naloge medicinske sestre pri bolniku z bolečino, vlogo medicinke sestre pri zdravstveni vzgoji bolnika in svojcev, pomen zdrave prehrane, pomen telesne aktivnosti ter vlogo medicinke sestre pri rehabilitaciji. Podatke, ki smo jih uporabili v empiričnem delu diplomskega dela, smo zbrali s pomočjo ankete, ki smo jo izvedli v revmatohematološki ambulanti v Splošni bolnišnici Novo mesto. Ugotovili smo, da je velika večina anketiranih težko sprejela diagnozo svoje bolezni, da se je večina anketiranih začelo zavedati pomen sodelovanja pri zdravljenju že ob začetku zdravljenja, da so odnosi v družini nespremenjeni in da dobijo največ informacij o svoji bolezni od specialista revmatologa. Bolniki se zavedajo, da lahko sami pripomorejo k boljšemu počutju, večina se jih ukvarja s telesno aktivnostjo večkrat tedensko ter da se po telesni aktivnosti bolje počutijo. In this diploma the medicine nurse's role who works with a patient with a rheumatoid arthritis was shown. In the research there was found out if the illness influences on the quality of patient’s life. The descriptive method of work has been used. With the help of domestic, foreign literature and the web sources, some of the theoretical points have been made. The rheumatoid arthritis and its epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, clinical picture, medical treatment, rehabilitation as well as the medicine nurse’s role have been described. The emphasis has been pointed to the nurse’s role and the works at the patient with the pain, the nurse’s role when dealing with patient’s relatives, healthy food, physical activity and the rehabilitation. The data which has been used, were collected by the interview which has been done in the rheumato-hematological dispensary of Novo mesto hospital. It has been found out that most of the patients accepted their diagnosis badly, most of them also started to become aware of good cooperation during the healing, their relationships stayed unchanged and a lot of information have been received from their doctors. Patients are also aware of helping themselves with regular physical activities.
