Summary: | Run length and total run length probabilities are examined for mixed sea states, resulting from the combination of a remotely generated wave field and a locally generated wave system, based on numerically simulated wave records. Two peaked sea states are classified in nine representative groups, in terms of two dimensionless parameters. Results are compared with those corresponding to a mean JONSWAP target spectrum and those predicted by the Kimura’s model. |
