| Summary: | This paper discusses some estimates of the Baltic Sea water balance components for the period 1951–1990. A considerable discrepancy is found resulting from different causes. The features of the trends in the inter-annual variations of the vertical water exchange components are also discussed. Particular emphasis is placed on the inter-annual oscillations of sea level. The most important large-scale regularities of these oscillations are demonstrated for the period 1892–1994. |
