El presente estudio, reporta por primera vez, la presencia de la langosta zapatera Parribacus antarcticus para los arrecifes del suroeste del golfo de México que forman parte del Corredor Arrecifal del Suroeste del Golfo de México. Las observaciones de P. antarcticus se realizaron en el arrecife Lobos durante un buceo nocturno y en el arrecife Palo Seco durante un buceo diurno. Un espécimen de 19 cm de longitud fue recolectado en el arrecife Lobos. Con el presente registro, se incrementa a siete especies de langostas que tienen distribución en el Corredor Arrecifal del Suroeste del Golfo de México.
