Summary:Short story �al-H}ubbu as}-S}agi>ru� from anthology al-�A>lamu ad}-D}ayyiqu was written by Egyptian writer, Najīb al-Kail�nī. The purpose of this study is to know the intrinsic elements inside the story al-H}ubbu as}-S}agi>ru, through structural analysis. The intrinsic elements thorough this short story consisted of the theme, fact stories (characters, plot, and setting), and great story (the title and the author's point of view). These elements are identified and described so that it can be determined the connection among lots of different elements into one unified meaning. The result of this study showed that the theme story of �al-H}ubbu as}- S}agi>ru� was the power of love which could be the source of strength to move people doing something. Characters from this story consisted main character, Sami>h,} and three additional characters, the character of �me�, �Usma>n, and jailer. The story used a straight plot through five stages, which are creating situation, generating circumstances, rising action, going into climax, and doing completion phase combined with setting place story consisted of the mountain and prison, and setting time story consisted of the morning, time of ashar prayer, and night. This story was told in first person point of view. Each of these related elements would gain one whole meaning.
