The agro-industrialization of raw materials produced by family farms has been one of the viable strategies for agrarian reform settlements in Brazil. In order to analyze the socio-economic viability of Agribusiness "Moinho Colonial" of Cooperativa Terra Nova de Canguçu Ltda. based in Pitangueiras settlement, this paper traces the historical evolution of this entity until the installation of Agribusiness, emphasizing the search for alternative access to markets, the associated families. Through the analysis and diagnosis of Production Systems tool, socio-productive SIGRA data and interviews with key informants and settled farmers, build up scenarios of "possibilities" for the production and processing of corn and beans grown in the systems: conventional and agroecological . These data added to socio-political situation of the settlers, considering their family and life expectancies structures, point to important challenges of organizational policy and technical and social support to overcome. The feasibility study points to the differentiation of agro-ecological product marketing as an important mechanism for the economic viability of the mill, however for this productive alternative becomes effective, are still needed further analysis in the field of social feasibility, ie, motivation and technical and managerial capacity of farmers to produce and process food without the use of agrochemicals.
