Description
Summary:This poster shares insights from transforming stand-alone workshops into a series. The Yale University Harvey Cushing/John Hay Whitney Medical Library’s Bioinformatics Support Hub developed the series, “Introduction to Transcriptomics: from counts to functional analysis,” after receiving feedback from participants requesting more comprehensive instruction. Combining new and previously taught workshops and unifying them around one dataset, this hands-on teaching series guided participants through the basic steps of going from a table of gene counts to hypothesis generation. This poster was presented at the North Atlantic Health Sciences Libraries Conference in Portland, Maine, on November 7, 2022.
