| Summary: | The Fildes peninsula, located on King George Island (Antarctica), has easy accessibility, contributing to the increase in the circulation of tourists, school groups and journalists. Considering that Antarctica is an area of scientific protection, with the increasing of circulation of people is necessary to develop new management plans for the most accessible places, although there are already areas of protection according to their value (historical, scientific, aesthetic ). The objective of the research is to propose a zoning of the Fildes Peninsula suggesting expansion or creation of new areas for protection. Weights of importance were assigned to each information plan: frequent movement of people and vehicles, proximity to glacier (proglacial area), vegetation, presence of animals, scientific activity, high slope and proximity to protected area already delimited. The results indicated three classes of protection being the one of highest priority (1), located in areas of scientific interest in the proglacial zone of the glacier and presence of animals, in places very close to the bases where there may be tourists circulation. Class 2 corresponds to areas with high declivity, high incidence of flora and animals and proglacial lakes; the class 3 is the area of circulation of researchers and workers of the scientific bases and surroundings being suggested the performance of guides in the visits of tourists. A península Fildes, localizada na ilha Rei George (Antártica) possui fácil acessibilidade, via aérea e marítima, contribuindo para o aumento da circulação de turistas, grupos escolares e jornalistas. Considerando que a Antártica é uma área de proteção científica, o aumento da circulação de pessoas gera a necessidade de desenvolver novos planos de manejo para os locais de maior acessibilidade, embora já existam áreas de proteção de acordo com seu valor (histórico, científico, estético).
