Description
Summary:The benthic community in the vicinity of the penguin rookery of Adelie Cove (Ross Sea) was investigated during the austral summer 2014-2015. The site closest to the rookery exhibited the highest values of sedimentary organic matter, while the benthic community was characterized by species adapted to high levels of disturbance. Polychaeta were the dominant taxon at all sites.
