Summary:86 páginas : gráficas In this work, an investigation on business durability was carried out, due to the low business permanence of PYMES in our country, as Confecámaras (2016) assures in his report "Determinants of business survival in Colombia" referencing characteristics of the firm, such as the initial size, the multi-establishment character, the orientation to the external market and access to credit through the use of security interests, are significant in explaining the dynamics of sustainability and the risk of failure of companies, ensuring that about 60% of these companies have a maximum existence in the market of 5 years, being a very low percentage compared to developed countries. In this work, a field work is carried out which determines the durability factors in the area through a survey carried out with different companies, which we counter with a company in the sector, taking as a reference the company ANTARTICO SAS registered in the chamber of commerce in In 2013, a processor and distributor of pre-cooked products (yuca croqueta, patacón, etc.) has served 5 years on the market, a threshold at which very few SMEs manage to survive, and from there determine the important aspects that led the company to remain on the market today, in the town of Engativá. It has a free processing of mixtures and preservatives, protecting the natural essence of the product used for freezing, known as IQF (individual quick frozen). In this order of ideas, through this undergraduate project, it is desired to propose alternatives that improve these statistics through an investigative process, based on the development plans of the country and the city of Bogotá, conducting studies in the town of Engativá, generating an impact on the existence of PYMES.
