| Summary: | The goal of this article is to examine the main actions promoted by the Russians in the last few years in the Arctic, particularly the country’s very important submission to an extended continental shelf in the Arctic region, which may consolidated the Russian Federation as one of the top actors in the future energy scenario. O objetivo do artigo é examinar as principais ações praticadas pelos russos nos últimos anos no tocante ao Ártico, em especial o importante pleito do país a uma plataforma continental estendida na região ártica, o que poderá consolidar a Federação Russa como um dos mais importantes atores no cenário energético futuro.
