Description
Summary:The C (super 14) -laboratory at the Geological Survey of Finland was started in Oct. 1960 in order to determine ages of Quaternary objects. Only 11 samples that have been measured are ready to be published. Most samples in this paper have been measured many times in order to control the stability of the system and to make all necessary corrections. The C (super 14) -system includes 2 CO (super 2) -filled proportional counters. Until now the measurements have used only the first counter system. The second one is now ready for dating. Of the 11 samples listed and described, 8 are from Finland, 2 from the Karelian Isthmus, U.S.S.R., and 1 from Indiana.
