Description
Summary:This workbook was developed for a joint pilot workshop project between the Gwich’in Tribal Council (GTC) and the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Extension to explore digital literacy in the North. The workshop involved discussion of concepts related to digital content (digitization, archiving and preservation) and connectivity, in relation to the GTC’s work in the Northwest Territories. The workshop was made possible through funding support from the Government of the Northwest Territories Department of Education, Culture & Employment and Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment, and from GTC. We also acknowledge and thank UAlberta North and the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Alberta for their support for this project. First implementation of workshop was conducted June 12, 2017 in Inuvik, NWT.
