Description
Summary:This image is part of a triptych called "Firewall" by Swedish artist Carolina Falkholt, painted in 2013. This mural is on the end of a building at Valtakatu 24 in Rovaniemi, Finland. The other parts are in Luleå (Sweden) and Severomorsk (Russia). This mural covers the whole end of the building including the adjacent drain pipe, the area under the eaves and a wire-mesh swing-gate which rests against the wall when open. The image is of part of a human torso including a shoulder and back of an arm overpainted on an aqua, blue, and white wavy background. The image is fantasy style, with most of the torso covered in black outlined scales, seven eyes placed at various locations and five pink talons in the upper left of the torso. A small black line-art bird sits on the shoulder. The right half of the image is background colours with a white circle on the far right and fading black lettering.
